I have collected some Questions that Good Readers Ask. I have modified and changed them as I have gone along. Here are 9 questions that all readers should think about.
1- What is the main idea of the text?
2- How can I summarize what I have read?
3- What questions should I ask before, during, and after reading?
4- How can I use what I learn in a new way?
5- Can I support my side of an argument? If not, maybe I should reread or read some more.
6- What signal words can I use to help me determine text structure?
7- What vocabulary words would help me learn this lesson?
8- How can I analyze or break apart information that I am reading?
9-What is my purpose for reading?
