About Mrs. Satterfield

I am the Instructional Coach at Central Middle School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  I started my career in 1990, as a first grade teacher in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  I taught 1st grade for 9  years before starting my own Mother’s Day Out program and After School program for a local school district.  In 1998, my husband moved our family to Bartlesville where I opened a Mother’s Day Out program at a local church.  I decided I missed the classroom and taught 1st grade again at Hoover Elementary School.  My family had an opportunity to move to the mountains for a couple of years where I was a Reading Coach and then taught 1st grade once again.  Bartlesville was tugging at our family to ‘come home’.  Upon arrival in Bartlesville, I began teaching Middle School Reading.  I worked to complete National Board certification and my M.Ed and moved to the position of Instructional Coach.  I love working with students and helping teachers be the best they can be.  Hopefully you will find useful information on this site that you are able to use in your classroom.
